Stream Prince Now

In 2015 Prince removed his music from nearly all streaming services. Although Tidal users retained the ability to stream Prince’s work, the majority of music streamers were left without the Prince catalog. That is no longer the case. Today the catalog returns to Spotify, Apple Music, and more! Go to your favorite music streaming service, listen to the great Prince, and add some classics to your favorite playlists! Below, enjoy the fantastic Purple Rain album.

Big 4 US Mobile Carriers Reviewed

A recent test was conducted to compare the performance and reliability of the 4 major US Mobile Networks. The results are interesting and I suggest that you take a look at the full report. I have a three quick reactions.

Network comparison
1. Verizon and T-Mobile are essentially tied with respect to LTE performance. I’m quite shocked by this and impressed at how T-Mobile has drastically improved its network speeds.

2. As an AT&T customer, I’m amazed at how poor the service has become. AT&T trails Verizon and T-Mobile in both LTE speed, LTE availability, and latency.

3. Probably most interesting from the report, “[I]n our nationwide tests, all four operators fell short of the global LTE download average of 17.4 Mbps.” US Carriers need to reinvest in infrastructure and drastically improve.

Boston Calling 2017 — First Look

This year, Boston Calling is moving to the Harvard Athletic Complex after years at the city hall plaza. The move, as well as transitioning the festival from two events per year to one event per year, allowed Boston Calling 2017 to book an incredibly impressive lineup. In fact, Consequence of Sound ranked this lineup the 4th best of year.

Any lineup with Tool right now is going to turn heads, and while Chance the Rapper is currently being hailed as the greatest living rapper, there‚Äôs something admittedly unique about seeing Mumford and Sons in the middle. — CoS

Boston Calling 2017 Lineup Poster

Beyond headliners Tool, Mumford and Sons, and Chance, Boston Calling did a great job with the undercard. Cage the Elephant put on a great live show, Weezer has fantastic natlagia factor (plus their latest album is pretty good), and Run the Jewels are touring their highly popular third album. To me, however, The XX and Bon Iver are must sees! The XX’s most recent album is fantastic; in fact, the lead single was one of my songs of the week late last year. Bon Iver also put out a new album recently, plus I just discovered the hit song Skinny Love. Overall, I’m very excited for Boston Calling and look forward to reporting more on the festival as it draws near.
