iWork 2008 Review

I purchased Apple’s iWork 2008 a few weeks ago. I needed a productivity suit and decided on the cheaper iWork- compared to Microsoft’s office suit. For about half the price, I was able to get a bundle of application that are at least as good as their Microsoft counterparts. (Pages is to word as keynote is to powerpoint as numbers is to excel.) I have to say, it’s a really powerful set of applications and I have only one major gripe with pages: there is no word art. This is not really a big deal but I really enjoyed just popping in a little graphic to make a cover page for a report look a little nicer.
Overall, the iWork set of applications is cheaper and less cluttered. Plus, coming from a long time office user: iWork was very easy to switch to. I was easily able to pick up the apps on day one and continue where I left off with office. The videos bellow are split because of the limit youtube has. The first video covers just pages while the second video covers keynote and numbers.
